Species: Full-blooded Saiyan Age: 25 D.O.B.: Born 737 A.D. Series: Dragonball Z Timeline: End of Frieza Saga (book 28) Born as Kakarot on the Saiyan home planet Vegeta, Goku was sent to Earth as in infant with the mission of destroying all it's inhabitants to make the planet sell-able to interested investors. The Saiyan race had been recruited to be the muscle of an entrepreneurship of planet-selling, and were quite good at it. The business speaks for itself really, the objective being to clear out local planetary populations and to prep the planet for sale. The Saiyans enjoyed their work. However, Goku's mission was interrupted when he was intercepted by a caring old man named Gohan. He was adopted and named Goku, and taken care of as if he were Gohan's own child. In return, Goku showed his appreciation and cooperation by being an absolute terror at every turn. Then one day, Goku had escaped Gohan's grasp and fallen over a cliff, hitting his head and loosing any memories he had (however many a baby can have), along with his vicious personality. From then on, he was the sweetest, happiest kid you ever did see. After unknowingly killing Gohan with the aid of a full moon, Goku lived by himself in the mountains, training himself the way his grandpa Gohan had taught him. He and his grandpa had lived in such seclusion that Goku had never seen anything but the local animal population. He was as ignorant as they come about proper manners and any knowledge deemed "common", like say.. the difference between a boy and a girl. This also means that he lived without reservations or knowledge of the taboo, making him extremely awkward or embarrassing to be around sometimes. It's gotten better with age after living with civilization, but it'll never be completely gone. True to his Saiyan nature, Goku loves to fight. But as opposed to the rest of his race, he selflessly fights for justice and aiding those in need. Goku's heart is pure in the truest sense of the word; he'll never hurt a person out of malice or greed, and is 100% for second chances if the evil-doer promises to stop being evil. He would especially urge the evil-doer to take the offer if he sees them as a great potential fighting rival. Goku fights for protecting what's right and for the thrill of the fight-- never for the opportunity to kill. He abhors unnecessary killing, and will only do it when the situation calls for nothing else. Many consider it to be naiive and soft-hearted, and he is very often called on it as being a weakness. He loves his family and his friends, and will protect them until the end.
